About the role#
This Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-Op position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will support the manufacturing of high-frequency communication radios and circuit boards. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Analyze and resolve design tolerance issues.
- Evaluate, select, and order capital test equipment while performing cost and payback analysis.
- Support capacity planning and utilization analysis to ensure proper staffing and equipment needs.
- Identify and address routine test defects to improve test yields.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve test failures.
- Gain experience with tools such as SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- A background in root cause analysis.
- Relevant experience gained through training, research, coursework, or projects.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in electronics is preferred.
- A proven ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations is preferred.
- Prior RTX internship or co-op experience is a plus.
