About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Electrical Project Engineering internship for Summer 2027. You will join a multi-disciplined team at our Windsor Locks, Connecticut facility. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside the Project Engineering lead to advance program goals.
- Execute the engineering design process for systems and components.
- Manage action items from meetings through to closure.
- Support design efforts and project reviews.
- Coordinate testing activities with the shop floor or external test houses.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customers to ensure project success.
- Communicate with team members to keep the program on schedule.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to remain enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- Experience gained via coursework, research, projects, or previous work.
- A minimum of 45 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Project.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams.
- Prior internship or work experience at RTX is a plus.
