About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Tucson, Arizona. You will work within the Effector Digital Products department to support the design and development of electronics for missile systems and other effector products. This role requires an active U.S. government security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory. You must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to your start date.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing digital circuits using FPGAs, ASICs, and embedded processors.
- Support the integration of digital hardware with software, sensors, and analog systems.
- Conduct laboratory testing and validation of digital designs.
- Perform signal integrity analysis, timing analysis, and hardware debugging.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to meet design requirements.
- Prepare design documentation, test plans, and validation reports.
- Participate in mentorship and training opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, lab work, PCB design, or signal integrity.
- Ability to apply technical coursework through class projects, research, or previous internships.
- A self-motivated approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
