    About the role#

    Radiant is hiring a Licensing & Regulatory Intern for Summer 2027. You will support our work building portable nuclear microreactors. This role focuses on the end to end execution of licensing efforts necessary for application deliverables.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage licensing execution from start to finish for specific application deliverables.
    • Build partnerships with internal teams and external regulatory bodies like the NRC.
    • Guide technical teams through design reviews and the creation of regulatory and quality documentation.
    • Organize technical inputs into reports and data products.
    • Identify regulatory concerns and manage them through to resolution.
    • Review project approaches to ensure they align with our licensing paths.
    • Maintain the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all regulatory submissions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Communications, or a related field.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience writing technical documentation and navigating regulatory conversations.
    • Ability to negotiate effectively.
    • Understanding of requirement derivation, negotiation, and verification.
    • Familiarity with product design processes, specifically regarding system definitions, interfaces, and specifications.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
    • The role is based 100% on-site at our headquarters in El Segundo, California.
    • Offers are contingent upon the applicant's ability to comply with U.S. export controls.
