About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our development team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside software engineers and analysts to support projects for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This role focuses on the evolution of existing modeling and simulation frameworks, specifically AFSIM, based on customer requirements.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a diverse team to explore and build technical solutions.
- Update and improve the AFSIM codebase.
- Develop models for vehicles, sensors, and complex system interactions.
- Use analytical tools to interpret test results.
- Create graphical representations of your findings to share with decision makers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or relevant technical degree program.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher (please include this on your resume).
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Experience with C++ and Python.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience building physics-based and logical models.
