About the role#
Expedition Technology is hiring an intern to work on machine learning and digital signal processing. You will join our team for the Summer 2027 term to help solve challenges in the Radio Frequency Machine Learning field. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Herndon, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Build real-time machine learning systems that process streaming RF data.
- Write algorithms for GPU-accelerated digital signal analysis in communications and radar domains.
- Use Python for core signal processing tasks like filtering, spectral analysis, and waveform generation.
- Integrate your work into real systems to test effectiveness.
- Use DevOps and MLOps tools to manage deployments.
- Manage data processing pipelines, train ML models, and analyze results.
- Partner with developers to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
- United States citizenship.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- You must be entering the final year of your degree program.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Git and command line tools.
- Coursework or project experience in signal processing.
- Interest in ML applications like RF, audio, computer vision, or LLMs.
- Interest in a career within the defense and intelligence sectors.
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations.
Location & details#
- Location: Herndon, Virginia (On-site).
- Compensation: $35.00 per hour.
- Duration: Full-time (40 hours per week) during Summer 2027.
