About the role#
We are hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our headquarters in Herndon, Virginia, on projects that support national security. This is a full-time position offering $35 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Work within an Agile software development environment.
- Use tools such as Python, React, Docker, and Git to build software solutions.
- Contribute to projects focused on web development, machine learning, and signal processing.
- Coordinate with your team and domain experts to design features, prioritize tasks, and manage project risks.
What you'll need#
- You must be a United States citizen to qualify for a security clearance.
- You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related STEM field.
- You should be entering your final year of study with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages, specifically Python, is required.
- You need experience with the command line and version control tools like Git.
- You should demonstrate a clear interest in software engineering through coursework, clubs, or personal projects.
- You must have an interest in pursuing a career in defense or intelligence after graduation.
- You must be willing to complete a background investigation for a US government security clearance.
