About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work with machine learning systems and digital signal processing. You will work alongside engineers to address challenges in Radio Frequency Machine Learning. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Build real-time machine learning systems using streaming RF data.
- Develop algorithms for GPU-accelerated digital signal analysis in domains like radar and communications.
- Use Python for filtering, spectral analysis, and waveform generation.
- Integrate your work into real systems and deploy DevOps or MLOps tools.
- Participate in data processing pipelines, train ML models, and analyze results.
- Collaborate with developers to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- United States citizenship is required.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or AI/ML.
- An emphasis in Digital Signal Processing.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with command line tools and Git.
- Interest in signal processing and machine learning, including RF, audio, computer vision, or LLMs.
- Experience delivering technical presentations.
- Willingness to undergo a background investigation for a US government security clearance.
- Interest in pursuing a career in defense and intelligence after graduation.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site at our headquarters in Herndon, Virginia.
- The internship is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
