About the role#
This Co-Op role supports the GenCircuit project, which uses AI to generate circuit schematics and accelerate electronics design. You will work within the Software and Electronics Engineering Group to refine the design pipeline. This includes everything from initial requirements and function blocks to final schematic optimization. You will bridge the gap between AI/ML development and electrical engineering validation.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the full design pipeline by helping build and refine AI-generated circuit schematics.
- Use tools like LLM-based methods, PSpice, and MATLAB to develop and test designs.
- Perform integrity checks and use PSpice simulations to validate AI proposals.
- Research solutions to new design and modeling challenges independently.
- Communicate project progress to teammates, administrators, and collaborators.
- Balance software pipeline tasks with electrical engineering validation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to qualify for and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and circuit design fundamentals.
- Experience with machine learning model development, circuit simulation tools like PSpice, or MATLAB.
- Exposure to large language models or generative AI techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both alone and in teams.
- Strong communication skills and a self-driven work ethic.
Location & details#
- This is a 6-month, full-time, paid Co-Op position.
- The role is based in Lexington, Massachusetts, with a hybrid work modality.
