About the role#
The Advanced Sensors and Techniques Group is looking for an intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will work on the design, construction, and testing of radar systems used for space surveillance. This role supports national security by helping maintain awareness of man-made objects in orbit.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and test advanced radar systems.
- Perform radar system analysis and RF test and measurement.
- Develop and test software.
- Conduct signal processing and algorithm development.
- Analyze data to support mission objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer).
- Completion of at least 2 years of coursework by the start date.
- Experience or coursework in at least one of these areas: signal processing, ML/AI techniques, C/C++ development, radar system analysis, orbital dynamics, RF/microwave theory, or data analysis using Python or MATLAB.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
