About the role#
As a School Aide, you will work at Soaring Heights School to support students with their behavioral and emotional development. You will follow established treatment plans to help students succeed in their daily activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Put Positive Behavior Support Plans and Individual Treatment Plans into action.
- Help students build behavioral and emotional skills.
- Collect, enter, and graph ABA data to track student progress.
- Assist staff and caregivers in meeting the therapeutic needs of students.
- Help arrange the classroom environment to support a student's physical and psychological needs.
- Support school personnel with classroom tasks like grading and organizing materials.
- Perform personal care duties such as assisting with toileting, eating, and grooming when required.
- Use proper crisis intervention and prevention techniques.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a hospital, home, or educational setting.
- Academic background in fields such as Psychology, Human Resources, Nursing, Public Health, Kinesiology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice is relevant to this work.
