About the role#
This role involves supporting students in a school setting at Soaring Heights School. You will work directly with staff and caregivers to help students meet their therapeutic and behavioral goals. This is a full-time, on-site position based in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and individual treatment plans.
- Assist staff with therapeutic needs and ABA-based interventions.
- Collect, enter, and graph ABA data for monthly progress reviews.
- Help arrange the classroom environment to support student physical and psychological needs.
- Support teachers with classroom materials and grading.
- Use crisis intervention and prevention techniques when needed.
- Provide personal care assistance with grooming, eating, and toileting.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Two or more years of experience working with children in an educational, hospital, or home setting.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Kinesiology, or Criminal Justice.
