About the role#
This is a full-time position as a School Aide, Paraprofessional, or Student Assistant at Soaring Heights School. You will work with a team to help students with disabilities succeed. The schedule follows traditional school hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
What you'll do#
- Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and ABA-based interventions.
- Support student development of behavioral and emotional skills.
- Collect, enter, and graph ABA data for monthly progress reviews.
- Assist staff and caregivers with the therapeutic needs of students.
- Help arrange the school environment to meet student physical and psychological needs.
- Assist with classroom materials, including creating, copying, and grading tasks.
- Perform crisis intervention and prevention techniques.
- Carry out personal care duties such as toileting, eating, and grooming when necessary.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two or more years of experience working with children in an educational, hospital, or home setting.
