About the role#
This is a full-time position as a School Aide, Paraprofessional, or Student Assistant at Soaring Heights School. You will work on-site in Mifflin, Pennsylvania. This role involves supporting students in their educational environment by implementing behavioral plans and assisting with daily classroom activities.
What you'll do#
- Implement, model, and assist staff and caregivers with Positive Behavior Support Plans.
- Collect, enter, and graph ABA data for monthly progress reviews.
- Help school personnel with classroom tasks like copying, grading, and creating materials.
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention techniques.
- Perform personal care duties such as toileting, eating, and grooming when necessary.
- Arrange classroom environments to meet the physical and psychological needs of students.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in an educational, hospital, or home setting.
- Academic background in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, or Human Resources is preferred.
