About the role#
This role supports students within the Soaring Heights School environment. You will work directly with staff and caregivers to implement treatment plans and provide behavioral support. This is a full-time, on-site position based in State College, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and ABA-based interventions.
- Collect, enter, and graph ABA data to track student progress.
- Assist school personnel with classroom tasks, including grading, copying, and organizing materials.
- Help arrange the school environment to meet the physical and psychological needs of students.
- Support students with personal care tasks like eating, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Participate in crisis intervention and prevention efforts.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a home, hospital, or educational setting.
- Students or graduates in Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, Human Resources, Kinesiology, or Criminal Justice are encouraged to apply.
