About the role#
NHC Somerville offers a state-certified Nurse Aide Training Program for students pursuing a career in nursing. This is an unpaid, two-week course held on-site. Participants who successfully complete the program may have the opportunity to apply for employment at the facility.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the two-week state-certified Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Attend clinical training sessions.
- Maintain attendance and punctuality, as no absences or tardiness are permitted.
- Pass all required tests with a score of 80% or greater.
- Provide a $40 deposit for books and supplies on the first day, which is returned upon graduation.
- Purchase and wear a set of scrubs for class and clinical training.
What you'll need#
- Completed application.
- Valid photo identification and a Social Security card.
- Clear criminal background check, including no felony convictions or certain misdemeanor charges.
- No placement on any state or national abuse registry.
