About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a COOP supervisor for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Longueuil, Quebec. You will work Monday to Friday, from 6:30 to 15:00. This role requires a criminal background check and the ability to obtain necessary clearances for handling controlled goods.
What you'll do#
- Manage employees within a unionized environment by assigning tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Act as a primary resource person for your department.
- Apply the rules of the collective agreement.
- Serve as an agent of prevention to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Deploy strategies aimed at reducing non-quality.
- Lead projects focused on continuous improvement, including initiatives in department layout, productivity, and environmental safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Canadian university and eligibility to work in Canada.
- Pursuit of studies in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work on-site in Longueuil for the duration of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and One Note.
- Functional English skills for reading technical instructions, plans, and drawings, as well as communicating with international colleagues.
- Assets include experience in manufacturing, lean manufacturing, SAP software, and change management.
- Strong communication, leadership, autonomy, and diplomacy skills.
