About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Richardson, Texas. You will contribute to satellite ground systems and gain experience in software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
- Implement DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
- Work with technologies related to command and telemetry, flight dynamics, and spacecraft operations.
- Learn about multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice design.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Previous experience as an intern at Raytheon.
- Proficiency in object-oriented software development using C++ or Java.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
