About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Burnsville, Minnesota. U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Develop new, advanced aircraft air data products.
- Support existing products currently in manufacturing.
- Assist with mechanical aspects of development programs, covering requirements, design, testing, and implementation.
- Provide technical support to operations teams for programs in production.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- Active student status through the completion of the internship.
- Experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or previous employment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically CREO, for modeling and 2D drawings.
- Experience collaborating on cross-functional teams.
- Technical skills in measurement, instrumentation, and environmental testing.
- Prior internship or work experience with RTX is a plus.
