About the role#
The Industrial Engineering Intern will support production and manufacturing processes at Pratt & Whitney. You will work in a team-based environment to design, improve, and implement integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment. This position requires U.S. citizenship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with production floor employees, including operators, inspectors, and technicians, to solve daily issues.
- Manage long-term projects aimed at eliminating recurring production problems.
- Analyze the layout, flow, testing, and repair of electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Assist in planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to improve equipment utilization.
- Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity, inventory management, and production record systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active student status through the completion of the internship.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
