About the role#
This is an academic internship for students seeking school credit. We provide a monthly stipend for the duration of the role. You will work directly with our head designer and junior designer to support our product development process. This is an on-site position based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Create mood boards and CAD presentations for new lines.
- Build tech packs for sampling and prepare final versions for production.
- Manage the sampling process by following up with factories.
- Scout for new fabrics and prints at print studios and fabric mills.
- Contribute to the development and selection of artwork.
- Draft flat sketches for new products and design enhancements for existing items.
- Oversee the lifecycle of a product from initial design through to final approval.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a fashion design degree program.
- Proficiency in CAD fashion software, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, on a Mac platform.
- Experience with tech packs, garment fittings, and providing design comments.
- A portfolio is required for your application to be reviewed.
- Previous experience in children's wear is a plus.
