About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship during the summer of 2027. You will work within the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems line of business in Dallas. You will collaborate with experienced employees to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing and lab environment.
What you'll do#
- Audit processes and perform experiments in a Class 100 cleanroom or lab.
- Update documentation and present findings to the Change Control Board.
- Conduct inspections using a laboratory microscope.
- Safely handle flammable, corrosive, and caustic chemicals.
- Compile, analyze, and present technical data.
- Manage and update data using database applications.
- Type and word-process draft documents and prepare routine reports.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including arranging meetings and project team activities.
- Adhere to safety and maintenance procedures for equipment and materials.
- Maintain a professional company image in all interactions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least 2 years of college, with Junior or Senior standing at the time of application.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work effectively both independently and in a team.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD security clearance.
