About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring Global Supply Chain Specialists for a 10-week summer internship. This position is full-time and remote. You will support the Global Supply Chain team in areas such as Supplier Administration, Supplier Quality, or Compliance. You will gain experience across functional teams including Technology and Data, Supplier Performance, and Small Business Supplier Management.
What you'll do#
- Compile, cleanse, and normalize data from various ERP systems, including purchase orders and finance systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to verify product and service requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation during supplier negotiations.
- Learn and follow company procedures and public law requirements, including import/export and compliance guidelines.
- Complete an end-of-internship project and present your findings and recommendations to Global Supply Chain leadership.
- Support daily team activities and collaborate with other interns and cross-functional partners on improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Intent to be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to track multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and break large projects into smaller steps.
- Experience or familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and basic SQL.
- Familiarity with PO status reporting, SharePoint administration, CAGE, or SAM.GOV systems.
- Strong professional communication skills and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
