About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at L3Harris Technologies, you will assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services. You will work directly with suppliers to manage pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards. This role involves interpreting federal regulations and ensuring compliance with import and export control laws.
What you'll do#
- Submit requests for quotes to develop consolidated material pricing.
- Procure supplies and services while determining supplier selections.
- Negotiate terms regarding price, delivery, and quality.
- Track purchase orders and manage reports on open commitments and returns.
- Resolve discrepancies by working with the receiving and accounting departments.
- Confer with suppliers to evaluate factors that impact the total cost of ownership.
- Interpret FAR, DFAR, and ITAR regulations related to trade compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and purchasing concepts.
- Experience with spend management tools and negotiation strategies.
- Understanding of contract types and commodity management.
- Financial and quantitative analytical skills.
- Familiarity with supplier performance measurement tools and sourcing processes.
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
