About the role#
The Supply Chain Student Experience at Bobcat Company offers students a chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world projects. You will work alongside professionals in a global manufacturing environment. This program is open to students currently pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. We offer opportunities for both internships and co-ops.
What you'll do#
- Plan, schedule, and order parts to meet build schedule requirements.
- Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices.
- Manage past due purchase orders and resolve supplier invoicing issues with Accounts Payable.
- Minimize freight costs and expediting time.
- Establish and monitor metrics for local and regional supply chains.
- Design and prototype material flow and logistics options.
- Create optimized models for inbound and outbound logistics networks.
- Calculate manpower requirements for various supply chain segments.
- Resolve tactical sourcing issues and support strategic initiatives.
- Gather quotes, evaluate supplier proposals, and perform cost analysis.
- Participate in the Value Add process and support contract development with suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in an undergraduate program.
- Ability to commit to the full term, which is 4 months for an internship or 8 months for a co-op.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn as part of a team.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for the Winter 2027 term.
- Locations include Bismarck, ND; Buford, GA; Statesville, NC; and West Fargo, ND.
