About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to work within a unionized manufacturing environment in Longueuil. You will support the supervisor in managing daily operations and ensuring the department meets its productivity and safety goals. This position is full-time and requires an on-site presence from Monday to Friday, 6:30 to 15:00.
What you'll do#
- Support the supervisor in managing employees, assigning tasks, and acting as a resource person for the department.
- Apply collective agreement rules and maintain operational flow.
- Serve as an agent of prevention to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Lead and deploy strategies to reduce non-quality.
- Manage projects focused on continuous improvement, including department layout, environmental initiatives, and productivity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship duration.
- Current studies in Engineering, Human Resources, or Operations and Production Management.
- Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to work on-site.
- Working knowledge of English to handle technical documentation and communicate with international partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Assets include leadership skills, autonomy, experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of lean manufacturing, SAP, or change management.
Location & details#
- Location: 1000 Blvd Marie-Victorin, Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Note: The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and obtain necessary clearances for handling controlled goods.
