About the role#
This position is for an existing intern at RTX converting to a full-time hire upon graduation. You will join the Engineering Development Program, which includes three rotations over 2.5 years to build technical breadth and depth. You will work on development engine tests and functional validation across commercial, military, and industrial product lines.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering support for propulsion system tests.
- Coordinate test and analysis plans, including instrumentation requirements and pre-test predictions.
- Develop test procedures and methods.
- Manage and validate test data, including first-pass post-test analysis and reporting.
- Participate in discipline improvement and knowledge management activities.
- Collaborate daily with systems analysis, module centers, controls, instrumentation, and IT groups.
- Travel to engine test sites and customer locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Technology obtained by the start date.
- Experience in a mechanical or aero test environment or engine data analysis, gained through coursework, projects, research, or previous internships.
- U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.

- This is an on-site role based in East Hartford, Connecticut.
- The position is full-time.
- Travel, off-shift, and weekend work are required when necessary.
