About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring an Industrial Engineering Co-op for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position located on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will work directly with manufacturing teams to solve daily production issues and complete long-term projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with production floor employees, including operators and inspectors, to address day-to-day issues and eliminate recurring problems.
- Design tooling to support manufacturing processes using additive manufacturing.
- Analyze and support tasks such as layout optimization and flow improvement.
- Assist in planning and allocating resources, materials, and personnel to improve equipment usage.
- Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity improvement, and inventory control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the co-op session.
- U.S. citizenship.
