About the role#
The Operations Leader intern supports the leadership team by coordinating cross-functional projects and analyzing process performance. You will help ensure reliable, scalable day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Foster employee relations and engagement while supporting team morale.
- Coordinate production scheduling and materials.
- Track cycle times, downtime reasons, and other performance metrics.
- Support continuous improvement activities, map processes, and help implement small experiments.
- Assist with root-cause investigations for recurring defects and document corrective actions.
- Conduct basic safety observations and communicate status updates to supervisors, engineering, and quality teams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with relevant coursework in production processes, quality control, or operations strategy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and data analysis.
- Ability to work on-site and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
