About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Allegion, you will contribute to the Mechanical Engineering Competency. You will gain experience in product design, testing, and the design process for commercial products. You will work within an engineering team that supports on-site manufacturing and a nearby test lab, while interacting with various departments.
What you'll do#
- Translate customer needs into technical specifications.
- Solve design-related problems.
- Deepen your understanding of the engineering change process and product lifecycle engineering.
- Participate in development discussions and implement solutions on real projects.
- Collaborate with your team to produce well-rounded solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, such as Mechanical Engineering.
- CAD modeling experience, specifically with Creo.
- Coursework related to manufacturing.
- An inquisitive nature and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving skills.
- A desire to learn and grow through project-based work.
