About the role#
This is a summer 2027 internship for returning RTX interns. You will work within the Effectors Guidance, Navigation, and Control Center in Tucson, Arizona. This role requires an active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.
What you'll do#
- Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
- Define and execute system level performance studies and analyses to support new capabilities or address obsolescence.
- Collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical embedded software, firmware, and flight software simulations.
- Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
- Support missile performance analysis, including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Prior internship experience at RTX.
- Ability to balance multiple concurrent priorities with overlapping deadlines in an agile environment.
- A desire to pursue a career and deepen knowledge in guidance, navigation, and control.
