About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Design Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Haltom City, Texas. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design of Landing Gear and Systems components.
- Generate detailed part and assembly definition drawings, models, and FTA using CATIA V5.
- Create parts lists to support part definition.
- Support investigative design tasks and develop solutions.
- Design to requirements and collaborate with the engineering team on requirements management.
- Assist with engineering investigations into failures.
- Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM major.
- You must be actively enrolled in your program through the completion of the internship.
- Experience with 3D solid modeling software such as CATIA V5, Solid Works, or Creo.
- Experience with Team Center.
- Relevant experience may come from coursework, projects, research, or previous work.
