About the role#
Janicki is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Winter 2027 term at our Layton, Utah facility. This role supports our work in the aerospace and space exploration markets, focusing on the production of complex structures made from carbon fiber composites and aluminum. You will work on-site, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of technicians, machinists, and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
- Manage small projects from initial design through manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
- Complete assignments provided by your assigned mentor.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and take initiative to resolve issues.
- Communicate project status and technical details clearly to team members.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited engineering program (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, or other related fields).
- Junior or senior standing is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident status.
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure while multi-tasking.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
