About the role#
Janicki is hiring an Engineering Intern for our Layton, Utah facility. This role supports our work in the aerospace and space exploration markets. You will work on-site to assist with complex technical projects. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
- Manage small projects from preliminary design through manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
- Work independently to complete assignments from your assigned mentor.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and take initiative to resolve problems.
- Communicate project status clearly and effectively with your team.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited engineering program, preferably with junior or senior standing.
- Majors accepted: Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with technicians and engineers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident due to ITAR and EAR regulations.
