About the role#
Janicki hires Engineering Interns to work on projects across aerospace, space, defense, marine, and architecture. You will work in a production or manufacturing setting, applying engineering principles to solve technical problems. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Manage small projects from initial design through manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.
- Work with a team of engineers to solve complex technical problems.
- Complete assignments provided by your assigned mentor.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and take initiative on new ideas.
- Communicate project status and technical details clearly to team members.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program, preferably with junior or senior standing.
- Status as a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with technicians, machinists, and engineers.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and customer service skills.
- Capability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
