About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on experience in the aviation industry. You will work alongside our teams to support projects that improve our manufacturing processes and technical operations.
What you'll do#
- Research the viability of new programs and present findings.
- Clean, edit, and update internal databases.
- Conduct failure analyses and investigations.
- Evaluate efficiency to streamline programs or reduce costs.
- Perform studies or surveys and present the results.
- Create process documentation and employee manuals.
- Run cost-benefit analyses for equipment or material upgrades.
- Design tooling or ground support equipment.
- Complete continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable results.
- Assist with other tasks as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university engineering program.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and sit for extended periods.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Experience with CAD and simulation software.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Lean Green Belt certification or manufacturing project experience is preferred.
