About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking a Human Resources Student for the Toronto District, within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity offering exposure to various HR functions, including recruitment, training, professional development, and health and wellness. This role is available for a 4 or 8-month term starting in September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning and execution of career fairs.
- Coordinate training sessions and facilitate course set-up.
- Support the team with daily administrative tasks, including meeting scheduling, interview preparation, and maintaining action lists.
- Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail while supporting team activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma with a major in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all work assignments.
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and proactively anticipate team needs.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $19.57 - $28.69 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
