About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking a Human Resources Student for the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for students pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration. The role is available for a 4-month or 8-month term beginning in September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to various HR functions including recruitment, training, professional development, and health and wellness.
- Assist with the planning and execution of career fairs.
- Coordinate training sessions and facilitate course set-up.
- Support the team with daily event preparation, meeting coordination, and follow-up actions.
- Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
- Handle tasks requiring high attention to detail and accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program with a major in Human Resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all work assignments.
- Demonstrated initiative and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and resourcefully.

- Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $19.57 to $28.69 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
