About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking an Engineering Student for the Canadian Buildings Division, Toronto District. This is a full-time, paid position based in Trenton, Ontario, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings, work-specific scopes, and trade activities.
- Review trade quotes to verify material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings, update deficiency logs, and issue warranties.
- Take and coordinate progress photos and update field drawings.
- Produce as-built drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work while verifying site conditions against drawings.
- Set up and maintain project record-keeping.
- Layout site lines and grades using total station equipment.
- Create manual schedules and update them using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
- Maintain graphical scheduling using AutoCAD and monitor workforce productivity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture programs.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $21.37 to $31.33 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
