About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking Engineering Students for the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a full-time, paid position available for 4 or 8 months, starting in September 2026. The role is on-site and open to students pursuing degrees in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental, or Computer Engineering, as well as Architecture.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings, work specific scopes, and trade quotes, including verification of material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings and manage deficiency logs and warranties.
- Produce as-built drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Take and coordinate progress photos while updating field drawings.
- Verify site conditions, coordinate with drawings, and maintain record keeping.
- Layout site lines and grades using total station equipment.
- Create and update project schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work while monitoring workforce productivity.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, specifically word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting applications.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.37 to $31.33 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
