About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking Engineering Students for the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a paid, full-time position available for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. You will gain hands-on experience through challenging assignments in an on-site construction environment.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings, work-specific scopes, and trade quote reviews, including verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain project records.
- Input and update deficiency logs and issue warranties.
- Produce as-built drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work while verifying site conditions against drawings.
- Capture progress photos and update field drawings.
- Assist with site layout using total station equipment.
- Maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM and AutoCAD software.
- Monitor workforce productivity and obtain scheduling information from sub-trades.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental, or Computer Engineering, or Architecture.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in computer software, specifically word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting programs.
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, Ontario.
