About the role#
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our R&D team in Calgary. This is a full-time, paid position focused on quality assurance. You will work on-site to help improve our testing processes and software reliability.
What you'll do#
- Write and run automated scripts for environment setup, test execution, and reporting.
- Help improve our existing automation test framework.
- Build and update data generators and simulators.
- Attend project meetings to gather requirements.
- Present your designs and project updates to customers through info sessions and brainstorming meetings.
- Use your creativity to solve problems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in your 3rd year of a Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering program.
- Experience with IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ and version control systems like Git or SVN.
- Knowledge of Java, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with Linux systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well both independently and in a team.
- A strong commitment to quality.
- Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of Selenium, Jenkins, Jira, Groovy, or Gradle.
