About the role#
As an Electrical Design Intern, you will work with our R&D Hardware team to create technical drawings and design packages for oil field equipment. You will assist in translating engineering concepts into precise documentation used by manufacturing teams and contract partners.
What you'll do#
- Use AutoCAD to prepare electrical drawings and design packages.
- Write and update assembly procedures and bill-of-materials tables for outsourced manufacturing.
- Coordinate with panel and cable assembly shops and vendors to establish pricing and build prototypes.
- Verify the accuracy of dimensions, parts, and specifications in all technical drawings.
- Support R&D engineers and field technicians by refining design concepts.
- Modify existing drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 3rd year of an Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering program.
- Strong experience with AutoCAD.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Knowledge of electrical components, cable sizing, distribution, and control systems is an asset.
- Willingness to complete a criminal record check.
