About the role#
Pason is hiring a Software Developer Intern for our R&D department in Calgary. This is a full-time, paid position with a hybrid work schedule. You will work on software for our rigsite systems.
What you'll do#
- Write software using agile methodologies.
- Design, implement, and test features with our development tools.
- Investigate and fix defects from release development or production systems.
- Write unit tests for your code.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and User Experience teams to deliver features.
- Participate in the full development cycle, including requirements, design, sizing, code reviews, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in your 3rd year of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related program.
- Experience with Java, C#, Typescript, Python, and web development.
- Ability to use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Familiarity with Linux systems.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is an asset.
- Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
