About the role#
This is a paid internship program running through Summer 2027. You will join our Austin Software group to support the development and testing of our underwater vehicle program. You will work alongside a mentor to meet developmental goals and performance expectations. The role provides exposure to our work in the oil and gas, aerospace, and entertainment industries through project work, facility tours, and team events.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test software for underwater vehicles using Unity and 3D modeling tools.
- Gather requirements, perform software testing, and handle user documentation.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Software Development Manager.
- Prepare presentations, technical papers, and articles.
- Interface with project team members and clients in meetings and other professional settings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, BA, MS, or PhD program in Software Engineering, Game Development, Physics, or a related field.
- A minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience developing 3D games or apps using Unity.
- Programming experience in C#.
- Ability to create and manipulate basic 3D models in Blender.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Experience with C++ is preferred.
- A strong background in physics and 3D graphics is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment with shifting project schedules.

- This position is based in Austin, Texas.
- The role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring both virtual and in-office work.
- This is a full-time internship. No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
