About the role#
Join our Business Transformation group as an AI and Software Engineering student. You will work on building next-generation digital products for the energy industry. This role focuses on strengthening your software engineering foundations while gaining hands-on exposure to applied AI, modern platforms, and end-to-end product delivery.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve production software by contributing to full-stack applications, integrations, and data solutions.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of AI-powered applications, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with software engineers, domain experts, and stakeholders to build generative AI and data-driven solutions.
- Apply version control, code reviews, testing, and secure development practices while managing your workload.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Software Engineering undergraduate program (3rd or 4th year preferred) or registration in an accredited co-op or internship program.
- Candidates currently enrolled in a Masters or Ph.D. program may also be considered.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada full-time for the duration of the term.
- Availability to begin work in May 2027.
- Experience or knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, databases, APIs, and generative AI models.
- Proficiency with Python, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript, PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire for continuous learning.
