About the role#
This internship offers students the chance to work on meaningful, diverse projects within an integrated energy company. You will join a collaborative team, complete specific assignments, and receive mentorship to help build your professional skills. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to various business and technical functions.
What you'll do#
Responsibilities vary based on your assigned team but generally include the following:
- Capture and analyze business data to identify key metrics and trends.
- Create and maintain Power BI and TIBCO Spotfire dashboards and reports.
- Develop scripts and custom applications to improve HR processes.
- Support data and platform migration to Azure Databricks.
- Provide technical support for ETRM systems and improve related SharePoint sites.
- Solve business problems using data science and machine learning.
- Assist SAP and Integration teams with monitoring and project tasks.
- Document processes, data flows, and support knowledge transfer with business systems leaders.
- Collaborate with trading and operations teams to develop automation solutions.
- Build ServiceNow reports and support compliance reporting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate, Masters, or Ph.D. program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software, or Computer Engineering.
- Registration in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada full-time for the duration of the term.
- Availability to begin work in May 2027.
- Solid analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
