About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to contribute to Geoscience projects while working in an inclusive team environment. You will work under the direct supervision of a Geologist to fulfill business needs. The specific responsibilities of the position vary depending on the assigned business unit.
What you'll do#
- Perform wireline log interpretation.
- Conduct core description and interpretation.
- Execute geological mapping tasks.
- Analyze geological data.
- Apply safe work practices across all tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Geoscience Undergraduate, Masters, or Ph.D. program at an accredited institution.
- Availability to begin work in May 2027.
- Status as a student returning to full-time studies after the term or registration in an accredited co-op or internship program.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective written and oral communication abilities.
- Exposure to subsurface interpretation and mapping software, such as Petrel, Geographix, Accumap, or GeoScout, is preferred.
- Exposure to data analytics software and coding experience in Python, Matlab, or R is preferred.
- Previous geoscience or oil and gas experience is considered an asset.

- Term: 4 months, beginning May 2027.
