About the role#
This Student Co-Op position offers a 4-month placement in Superior, Wisconsin, starting in May 2027. You will work within a collaborative team on projects related to Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship to help you develop your professional skills.
What you'll do#
Responsibilities vary based on your specific assignment and may include:
- Performing daily safety procedure audits and inspections.
- Assisting in the delivery of Contractor Safety Training.
- Supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) tasks including Process Safety Information (PSI), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Management of Change (MOC).
- Assisting with Fitness-For-Service evaluations of equipment to ensure compliance with engineering practices and standards.
- Participating in field supervision of maintenance and project work.
- Updating technical drawings, documents, and equipment information.
- Engaging with field personnel to support operational challenges and safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree program at an accredited institution.
- Ability to return to full-time studies after the work term.
- Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, judgment, and decision-making skills.

- Location: Superior, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid position.
- This may be a safety-sensitive role requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the completion of medical and drug/alcohol assessments. Candidates must have their own transportation.
