About the role#
Cenovus Energy is hiring students for a 4-month Co-Op term beginning in May 2027. This program offers hands-on experience and mentorship within an integrated energy company. You will work alongside professionals on meaningful projects while developing your technical and business skills. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Lima, Ohio.
What you'll do#
Responsibilities vary by department and assignment. You may be involved in the following areas:
- Chemical Engineering: Analyze process, environmental, and safety data to support performance improvements.
- Mechanical Engineering: Support equipment reliability through inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
- Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering: Support electrical and control system reliability through testing and troubleshooting.
- Accounting & Finance: Support financial reporting and accounting activities using SAP.
- Supply Chain Management: Support procurement, sourcing, and contract management activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the work term.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of the term.
- Availability to begin work in May 2027.
- Solid analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program and returning to full-time studies after the work term. New graduates are not eligible.
