About the role#
Qorvo is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Software R&D team within our Global Operations business group. You will work alongside mentors to develop Design Automation and High-Performance Computing applications. This role requires a 9-month commitment, consisting of full-time work for the first 3 months followed by part-time work for the remaining 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Create custom Python applications and integrated GUIs.
- Analyze and benchmark software API calls.
- Write and maintain unit tests.
- Determine the operational practicality of software solutions.
- Provide support to internal customers to resolve technical issues.
- Plan and write efficient, well-structured code that follows documented best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science from a College of Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and experience using IDEs for development and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are a self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented team player.
- Experience with unit tests and containerization tools like Docker or Virtual Machines is preferred.
