Project Controls Intern

About the role#

The Project Controls Intern supports Project Managers within the Electric Operations team. This role involves assisting with project scheduling, financial forecasting, and performance reporting to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electric services. Interns may work within project support, central data management, or central financial analysis functions.

What you'll do#

• Develop project schedules and cash flow plans in coordination with project managers and functional departments.
• Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets and project performance reports.
• Monitor financial progress and identify cost or schedule variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Document change order requests, project status, risks, and resolution strategies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports, including performance scorecards and financial status updates.
• Manage project documentation from inception through completion, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Must be continuing education towards a degree during or after the internship term.
• A valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one at least 30 days prior to the start date).
• Preferred qualifications include PMP or CAPM certification and ongoing studies in Construction Management.
